Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is a first-person shooter video game developed by the Swedish firm EA Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and iOS systems. It is a part of the Battlefield series and was released worldwide in March 2010.

The game is primarily a squad-level online first person shooter based in a contemporary modern warfare setting. Additionally, the game includes a single player campaign, where the player reassumes the role of Preston Marlowe, the protagonist of the original game. The game's Frostbite 1.5 engine allows for destructible environments, and multiplayer maps contain a wide selection of vehicles, aircraft and emplacements and allow for five different game modes.

The game was announced in February 2009 and free game demos were made available prior to the game's launch. It was met with a positive reception from game critics, garnering a weighted mean of 88% from aggregator Metacritic for all three ports. It has also become a commercial success, having sold in excess of five million units since its initial release. Seven VIP map packs as well as a downloadable game mode have been released thus far, and an expansion pack centered around the Vietnam War (see Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam) which was released on December 21, 2010. EA released an iOS port of the game on December 16, 2010.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam

It was released on December 18th, 2010 for Microsoft Windows and December 21st, 2010 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The expansion pack takes place during the Vietnam War.

The Vietnam expansion pack brings 5 new maps, 15 different weapons and 6 new vehicles of Vietnam War. Characters also have different communication voices for both USA and Vietnamese Army. The new weapons also include the possibility to collect stars, and the expansion brings a new soundtrack, which contains 2 hours of typical music from the 1960's.

Battlefield 3

Battlefield 3 (commonly abbreviated to BF3) is a first-person shooter action video game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE published by Electronic Arts. The game was released on October 25, 2011 on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and EA Mobile confirmed a port for the iOS platform. It is a direct sequel to 2005's Battlefield 2, and the eleventh installment in the Battlefield  franchise.

Battlefield 3  features the maximalist combined arms battles that made the series popular across single-player, co-operative and multiplayer modes. It will reintroduce several elements absent from the Bad Company games, including fighter jets, the prone position and 64-player battles on PC.  To accommodate the lower player count on consoles, the ground area will be limited for Xbox 360 and PS3, though fly space will remain the same.

During an interview with GameInformer Magazine, EA stated that Commander Mode is unlikely to be included, which was met with some criticism on the EA forum.

The game features maps set in Paris, Tehran, Sarajevo, Sulaymaniyah, New York, Wake Island and Oman.  As a whole, combat takes place in urban streets, metropolitan downtown areas, and open landscapes suited to vehicle combat.

Battlefield 3  introduces Battlelog, a free cross-platform social service with built-in text and voice communicator, game statistics and ability to join the game that friend is already playing (both players need to be on the same platform).

Battlefield 4

Battlefield 4 is a first-person shooter video game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE) and published by Electronic Arts. It is a sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3. It was released on October 29, 2013 in North America, October 31, 2013 in Australia, November 1, 2013 in Europe and New Zealand and November 7, 2013 in Japan for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Battlefield 4 features several changes compared to its predecessor. The game's heads-up display is much the same, composed of two compact rectangles. The lower left-hand corner features a mini-map and compass for navigation, and a simplified objective notice above it; the lower right includes a compact ammo counter and health meter. The mini-map, as well as the main game screen, shows symbols marking three kinds of entities: blue for allies, green for squadmates, and red/orange for enemies.

Players can use dual-scoped weapons, including weapons with different firing modes (e.g. single shots, automatic fire). They can "spot" targets—marking their positions to the player's squad— in the single player campaign (a first in the Battlefield franchise) as well as in multiplayer, allowing teammates to either suppress or eliminate them. In addition, players will have more survival capabilities, such as countering melee attacks from the front while standing or crouching, shooting with their sidearm while swimming, and diving underwater to avoid enemy detection. The single-player campaign will see the player using vehicles to quickly traverse mini-sandbox-style levels.

Battlefield: Bad Company

Battlefield: Bad Company is a first-person shooter developed by the Swedish firm EA Digital Illusions CE , released in the U.S. on June 23 2008 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game was hinted at just before the release of Battlefield 2, and then announced sixteen months later. A sequel, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows on March 2, 2010.

Bad Company puts the player in a fictional war between the United States and the Russian Federation, where players will lead a squad of soldiers fighting Russians, MEC (Middle East Coalition) troops and Legionnaire mercenaries.

The game applies some new features to the franchise, including an environment that can be almost entirely destroyed, besides the very basic supports of buildings and certain metallic structures like antennas, and a single-player storyline. The single-player campaign and some multiplayer maps take place in Europe, the fictional Eastern European country of Serdaristan, and an unnamed fictional Middle Eastern country, in a city called Sadiz, which is located somewhere on the Caspian Sea.
